Chuck Norris: would have done well in MMA

A nice video where Chuck Norris explains how well he would have done in MMA competition if it were around back in his day... the 70's.

In fact I believe him when he says he would have done well.

Gracie BJJ and Chuck Norris

I enjoyed this video about the Gracies. Here is Chuck Norris discussing his first meeting with them. Kind of an eye opener!

MMA Training and a Smith Machine?

Have a look at any fitness center where weight-training is happening and you're more likely to view a copy in the Smith devices. These powerhouses for body building are favorites of significant trainers and these just beginning. Having an ability to mix-up a workout routine, this gymnasium machine is ideal for industrial settings. Are these worth for exercising at house to evaluation? You bet!

Even MMA fighters use this machine to help with upper body strength. Learn more at http://jasonburchem.beeplog.de

Use These Ninja Clothes For Night Wear?

Okay this may not seem like something t post on my blog but, who cares. It is my blog.

I am considering wearing pajamas to bed and thought it would be a cool idea to wear some ninja clothes since it would be night time when I wear them LOL! They are not really expensive and if they didn't work out I will not have wasted much money as they only cost about $30.

I was thinking about getting the red or the blue ones. Black is so average. Tell me what do you think? Here is a list of all the different ones: http://www.authenticninjaclothing.com

They have the traditional ninja outfit but do not want to get that one since it has too many ties and would be hard to slip on and off easily.

Maybe I should just ask a ninja LOL!

Okinawa and the Martial Arts

Karate is a superb style of martial art of Okinawan culture that spread across the world because of two primary situations: The japanese welcoming the Okinawans to Tokyo, japan to show and teach their indigenous style of martial art and the existence of United States Of America Army forces on military bases in Okinawa. These situations formed that which was initially an extremely personalized and efficient approach to personal protection and safety into the many styles that nowadays come under the umbrella phrase of martial arts.

A few other blogs that discuss the meaning of the martial arts:

What Time Do You Train?

I have been talking with lots of different competitors and I am always asking them what time they do most of their training.

I usually do mine in the evening but I notice many people do it in the morning. I am wondering because I want to get the best out of my time training.

So what time do you train?

My Sidekicks Have Been Getting Better

I am so excited. My kicks have been getting higher and stronger. I owe it all to my new stretching routine that I started.

  1. First I warm up by doing 50 jumping jacks.
  2. 50 hindu push ups
  3. 25 mountain climbers
  4. 10 side lunges
  5. From there I jump on my stretching machine: http://www.bestlegstretchers.com/

After that I go for a 3 mile jog. The jog is really helping bring my muscles that were stretched and make them stronger.
From there I head into the gym and start doing my sidekicks on the heavy bag.

I have found that the kicks are easier to throw and are stronger. Woohoo for me!
